The bad.

Last week, I absolutely started hating some technological revolutions and questioning whether technology is actually good.

Story on how this was started:

In September my dad bought a new car, it had power everything etc. Our old one had manual everything etc.
Last Saturday I think it was, I was inside the car when my parents were at Farm Boy I think. Anyways, it was a bit stuffy inside so I tried to open up my window, it wouldn't budge. So, I unlock the car without realizing that the security system had already gone on (it goes on 2 minutes after the car is locked), and then BAM! The car's security was beeping at full throttle and I couldn't turn it off (apperently it shuts off 2 minutes later). Later that day, my dad told me that everything requires either the key or the engine to be on.

So, is technology a good thing, I mean there should be a manual override of some sort to turn off the freakin' beeping. Anyways, if a thief is trying to break into your car, what good will two minutes of beeping do? I was standing there outside next to the car but no one was looking. This is why somethings should be re-engineered/designed, I mean I was locked inside my own freakin' car (if I unlocked or opened the door, the car would've started going crazy but I could still get out), I could've suffocated to death.

And the hockey season has started once again:
The Sens are 2-0 already with 2 wins against the Leafs. Gerber's playing in net was decent. By locking Heatley in a 6 year $45 Million contract, they're sure to keep Spezza as well.

The NFL season:
Dallas will win.

T.V.:
This year, Air Farce will go live.
For the first year, I'm actually not looking forward to any specific television show at all. Almost every show will just make the same jokes, have the same endings, no suspenseful parts because it's too obvious what will happen. That new show with the guy that played Frasier seems pretty decent but I haven't watched it yet.

Now some optical illusions:
I agree with this one:

Hurray It's Summer! [/sarcasm]

Woohoo it's Friday the 13th...
Anyways, yesterday I watched Portugal vs. Chile, it was hilarious. First, Chile scores a fluke. I mean the goalie was trying to get something called, he didn't even move. But no one cares about the scoring, it was one of the most bizzare endings I've seen in my life in football.

Look at the ref's face!
Edit: Forgot to mention
Vidal, the goalscorer, gets a second yellow in stoppage time for time wasting meaning a one game suspension

And then a few weeks back, I saw "So You Think You Can Dance"...
There was this guy on called Jesus (Pronounced "Hey-Zeus")

Something that may be very disturbing:
I don't know if he got through into the Top 20 but he made it into the Top 35.
How is this a talent?!

Look at David Hasselhoff.. lolz If he wins..

How is this less talented than Boy Shakira?:

So sport thoughts:
Baseball: R. Sox are doing great, NYY won't catch up.. I hate baseball
Football: No freakin' way Chile or US will win.. my $ on spain
Hockey:Without Priessing, Sens will do a lot crappier
I wanna see Hamilton get a team
Crappy trades going on
Basketball: Too Lazy
F1: L. Hamilton is overrated.. Massa/Kubiken = Raw Talent

And now...

So no more exams............until next semester

Anyways, the new color scheme isn't looking too great, the blueness is hurting my eyes.

So this is pretty exciting although the $500 PS3s on ebay might have something to do with this:(NOT Photoshopped)

And so Windows Vista is coming out on Tuesday, so that's pretty exciting although it's a huge waste of money.

Crosswords and OTHER STUFF!!!

Geez, I wrote this like a long time ago but blogger was being frustrating so I didn't post this which is my awesome excuse for not posting. At least I don't post bi-yearly.
Studying, who needs studying, studying is for overachievers and for people who want a good mark and get into post secondary school and possibly succeed in life.

Now, unlike those people, I have planned out my career/life:
1. Become an entrepreneur
2. If failed, become an accountant
3. If failed, become a panhandler
4. If failed, get in jail (free food, shelter, etc.) for life somehow
5. If all fails, get death sentence or commit suicide

Anyways, onto some business, Superbowl XLI:
Despite what Karl believes, CHICAGO BEARS ARE GONNA OWN, well not own, but at least win, because remember Superbowl XXXVII, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were like the biggest defensive team ever, managed to get like 5? touchdowns and owned the Raiders.

---

WOW! Such a creative name. Anyways, this post is going to be about crosswords.
Other names:
XWords (like XMas), The Frustrater, Goddamn I Need a Dictionary, and Word Sudoku
(There was a news article on it somewhere)

A few weeks back, I watched a movie called WordPlay, a documentary about crosswords and surprisingly, I found it quite interesting, maybe it's because Mike Mussina and John Stewart are in it.

So, this documentary inspired me to take up crosswords, so far, I haven't been able to finish one single freaking one. I mean like the clues are like "Money (6 Letters)".

Now some clever* wordplay:
*Cleverness can't be guaranteed
All-American Rejects --> AA Rejects
Fallout Boy --> FOB
Bowling For Soup --> BF Soup

Anyways, the two best songs ever!

Jehovah and Segway

Ok, I know everyone have exams coming up soon (I have social studies on Friday and math on Monday, but I'm so incredibly confident that I'm going to pass, I'm not going to study) but this was just one of those days.

Anyways, I was waiting for my bus this morning. It was late, again, like every other day, so this guy comes up to me. At first I thought he was going to get me to buy something, so I started my sorry, no money line. But instead he ask me if I wanted something to read on the bus. Ooooo Kkkkk, I, curious, nodded politely. And then he starts to give me a lecture on the end of the world and Jesus Christ. After a 2 minute talk, he gave me a pamphlet and moved on to another person waiting at the station. You see Jehovah's witnesses on tv all the time, but this is actually the first time I've talked to one. You know, I was quite disappointed that they're not as nutty as the Simpsons portrayed.

So, that experience was fun...but then a guy with a segway rolls past. Everyone at the station was looking at him and thinking the same thing. But man, he was fast. Now I want one...in fact, I'm going to start saving money for one this summer, after I get a job.

So that was my most eventful bus waiting ever, narrowly edging my number two: the time a hobo gave me and Ssy a lecture on graffiti, punks, and capital punishment.

Ok, that was pretty boring, so to make up for it, here's HappyTreeFriends meets the Matrix and a long HTF video with an inspirational message...

Random Ramblings

I just love alliterations...
Anyways, as the title suggest, I don't really have a topic for today. But It's been a week, so we should have a new blog.

There's a new thing to the side. It's the total cost of the war in iraq for americans so far. Now, some may use this as a weapon to criticize President Bush. But they're just being pessimestic. You have to think like this: if america can waste so much money, that must mean that the economy is booming, and that must mean George Bush is the best president ever!!!

I was at this site called new7wonders.com (it's in the places box) You get to vote for you favorite 7...constructs I guess...to be named the 7 wonders of the world. Don't know why anyone would waste their time on this, but I did.

I heard yesterday that David Beckham is leaving Real Madrid for the LA Galaxy next season...he's getting around 250 million pounds over the course of 5 years. Hmmm, I wonder why he decided to leave. Anyways, the weird thing is, MLS is only paying 400, 000 a year. Most of the salary is being paid by Addidas and AEG(anshurtz entertainment group or something.)

Oh, and Toronto got its own Mls team a few weeks ago, so thats EXCITING...

You've sat through that, I guess you deserve some videos.

First we have the talented Donald Rumsfeld.

Next up is this lame Lord of the Rings parody.

And I'll finish it off with a clip of play-doh Happy Tree Friends. But seriously, I wouldn't watch this if I were you.

Stuff, stuff, and more stuff

Wow, um... I realized that I am going to fail the Chinese school exam, even though it was 3 weeks ago, and I didn't go because I was sick, seriously. What's ironic about our class is that I am one of the worst in our class at Chinese and I have one of the highest marks.

I feel bad for Karl, he had 3 weeks without internet, I have 3 months. Wow, good thing I have rich neighbours that are too dumb to encrypt their wireless connections.

If anybody has an iPod, please watch this, it's very important, and think about it:
Wow, the little people in the iPods drink Budweiser

So, 2006 went by pretty fast. A lot of memories.

2006

Action/Adventure: Mission: Impossible III
It was pretty good despite a crazy man being the protagonist.

Hilarious, Ice Age 2 was almost as good but I loved Madagascar.

No contest.

Horror: Didn't really watch any except for Hostel, which was disgusting.

Actor: Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat)
That guy is hilarious, he is a great actor, I don't know how he can keep a straight face when being Borat.

I think The Devil Wears Prada is the only movie I saw this year with a female actress that acted well.

Nothing compares to this movie.

What a way to end a career

Woohoo

Woohoo, first blog. Anyways, I'm the new member and I've already made some changes to this site (look at the title), oh and also, I tried to insert a widget on the site, but that wasn't working too well....hmm, it appears that I've run out of material already, strange...so here's video, I don't normally post videos on my blog, but this is OB/LB's site, so without further adeiu(sp?)

I'm new at this stuff, so tell me if the thing doesn't work.

All right, in the last few minutes I've thought up some stuff. I'm moving this Saturday, if those damned carpet guys can finish the job. The new place is called Dalton Square, pretty lame, but there was a murder in the house beside ours 20 years ago, so that's cool. Can't think of anything else, so I'll leave you with this video.

Warning, may contain educational material, viwer discretion advised.

Word of the Week:lolz/TV/900 MILLION!!!

My word of the week is lolz. I am attempting to use it at least 10 times everyday.

Anyways, for all you OC/Degrassi/Corner Gas/Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip/Whistler/MTV fans:

You can watch legal high-resolution episodes of these shows here! I think they're still expanding. Why won't they add The Amazing Race? :'(

According to Jim: Chicago family with 3 kids. Man=Jim, Wife=Cheryl, Wife's Bro=Andy, Wife's Sis=Dana. It's funny, but I can't find any good clips. If you find any, please comment.

And finally, 900 MILLION!!! Yes I would like that much money (don't care about currency). This video, I'm sure almost all of you have watched it, is the most watched video(on the internet) of all time 900 MILLION EFFING TIMES. For those who haven't watched it, here it is. Also, it's important to note that he made the tape but forgot about it, it was found by some kids at school, they shared it Peer to Peer on Kazaa because they thought it was funny. The original video name was: "Jackass_starwars_funny.wmv". In "White and Nerdy"(See Below), there is a parody of the Star Wars Kid.
