Politics and Other Stuff

Windows Vista came out yesterday, it looks pretty good but the price is a bit too much ($180 for Home Premium upgrade from XP). Anyways, a cool way to make your desktop look like Vista while maintaining the XP OS is to download the Vista Transformation Pack. Meanwhile, school begins tomorrow again.. I have four exams =(

Damn you spyware, I had to recover my laptop (in other words, make it so that i have to reinstall everything). Because of spywares and viruses, Google didn't work, which meant no Gmail and so I couldn't log into blogger which meant that I couldn't post.

So to the main topic, POLITICS!

Stephen Harper and his crew have started a new lineup of attack ads, they are so pointless. I love it how much of their party budget they're wasting on these ads, especially because they're run during primetime television. I'm guessing that elections are coming soon.

Is There a Reason Why They Use The Same Clips?

WOW! 1 WEEK BEFORE SUPERBOWL, OMG I AM SO EXCITED, OMG, OMG, OMG. Actually, no
So no more exams............until next semester

Anyways, the new color scheme isn't looking too great, the blueness is hurting my eyes.

So this is pretty exciting although the $500 PS3s on ebay might have something to do with this:(NOT Photoshopped)

And so Windows Vista is coming out on Tuesday, so that's pretty exciting although it's a huge waste of money.
The Cheapskate's Way to Vista

And I wish I could do this, but is it real, that is the question

COLTS WILL WIN THE SUPERBOWL!!!

Now, since I'm done my exams, I have nothing better to do. So here's my rant on why the colts will win the super bowl, but first, I have to show this video:

Yep, it's the PFL: the pillow fighting league, they're the newest sensation in America. And now on to my rant:

First of all, the colts are 7 point favorites to win the game at Vegas. And we all know that book makers don't get rich being wrong. Now, I get the fact that the Bears absolutely DESTORYED the Saints' top rated offense: forcing 4 turnovers. But you can't tell me that home court advantage didn't have something to do with it. Soldier field is a horrible place for the Saints to play, they're a dome team in Louisiana and here they have to go and play the Bears in the open air, while it is snowing no less. No gonna happen in Miami; sure it's still outside, but without the cold air, the Bears loose the HUGE advantage they had in the NFC championshiops.
Everyone already knows about the Bears' D, and the Colts' O, so I'm not gonna get into it here. But the Bears' O compared to the Colts' D? Come on! For a team supposedly with no rushing D, the Colts held the Patriots to just 93 yards with 1 touchdown. If you watched the AFC championship, you can see that with the exception of the 29 yard kick return average, the Colts were solid on the D, as they have been all playoffs. Granted, the Bears did put up 39 on the Saints, but does anyone actually think that Rex Grossman will have a 0 int, 0 sack game against this Colts' D? Peyton Manning got his team from 18 down to win the AFC while playing against his arch nemesis and ditched the choker mantle. Who actually thinks he'll finally make the superbowl just to loose to the Bears?! Colts will win a close game! No doubt about it.(but the real question is: who's going to disney world afterwords???)

Crosswords and OTHER STUFF!!!

Geez, I wrote this like a long time ago but blogger was being frustrating so I didn't post this which is my awesome excuse for not posting. At least I don't post bi-yearly.
Studying, who needs studying, studying is for overachievers and for people who want a good mark and get into post secondary school and possibly succeed in life.

Now, unlike those people, I have planned out my career/life:
1. Become an entrepreneur
2. If failed, become an accountant
3. If failed, become a panhandler
4. If failed, get in jail (free food, shelter, etc.) for life somehow
5. If all fails, get death sentence or commit suicide

Anyways, onto some business, Superbowl XLI:
Despite what Karl believes, CHICAGO BEARS ARE GONNA OWN, well not own, but at least win, because remember Superbowl XXXVII, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were like the biggest defensive team ever, managed to get like 5? touchdowns and owned the Raiders.

---

WOW! Such a creative name. Anyways, this post is going to be about crosswords.
Other names:
XWords (like XMas), The Frustrater, Goddamn I Need a Dictionary, and Word Sudoku
(There was a news article on it somewhere)

A few weeks back, I watched a movie called WordPlay, a documentary about crosswords and surprisingly, I found it quite interesting, maybe it's because Mike Mussina and John Stewart are in it.

So, this documentary inspired me to take up crosswords, so far, I haven't been able to finish one single freaking one. I mean like the clues are like "Money (6 Letters)".

Now some clever* wordplay:
*Cleverness can't be guaranteed
All-American Rejects --> AA Rejects
Fallout Boy --> FOB
Bowling For Soup --> BF Soup

---

Anyways, the two best songs ever!

**May Offend Canadians (yet again)**

GO BEARS!!!

Exam Over!!!

Stupid lazy boyang...you do realized that you've went from daily post to bi-weekly post to weekly post to bi-monthly post in a span of less than 3 months, right? And don't say you're studying for exams, cause I know you're not.

Anyways, I'm already done my exams, so I have a whole week of nothing coming up. I had a social study exam last Friday, and a math exam today. They were both pretty easy, except for these 2 questions.

Social: In Canada, what is the main difference between rights and freedoms?

a.rights can be restricted by the government
b.freedoms can be restricted by the government
c.rights are entrenched in the constitution
d.freedoms are entrenched in the constitution

and

Math: If x and y are the 2 acute angles of a right angle triangle, write y as a function of x. (and I don't remember the choices for this one)

So, overall, the tests here in Calgary are much easier than the ones in Ottawa. (They count for more though: 30% of the final) And I only have 4 exams this whole year. (there is no French exams)

Hillary Clinton annouce that she's going to run for president...so that was the worst kept secret of the century, it was kind of obvious since she became a senator.

Her only real comp in the Democratic camp is Barack Obama. They both got a lot of star power, but I'd say Clinton's support from the female and minority demographic gives her the edge. Here's hoping that the next american president is a leftist...

It was championship weekend for the NFL, didn't bother watching the Saints-Bears game, but I couldn't stay away from the Colts-Pats game. After the first quarter, it looked like we were gonna see this again,

but after a wild third, it look like the colts were finally gonna win. Now, I have to admit, I had my doubts, such as when Reggie Wayne tripped over himself...twice. But the Colts finally made it.(can't find any video recap, so go find your own...) So trust me on this guys, the Colts are going to win the superbowl!!! They prove the haters wrong, and their offense is just too good for the Bears' d outside of chicago. And I don't care how many people say great defense wins championships(I'll save my Phoenix suns rant for the NBA playoffs), the Colts and Manning are just too confident after beating the Pats to loose to the Bears. Granted, their special team is horrid and the punt return coverage just sucks, but when you have guys like
Dallas Clark effective and Manning throwing them the ball, you can't loose.

Note: I couldn't find any good videos, but chances are, you didn't finish that post to read this...
